つまごいスキーキャンプ2019

ももたろうがプログラムディレクター、うなぎ、ちぇりーはカウンセラー、ほっちはスタッフ兼サブカウンセラーとしてつまごいスキーキャンプに参加をしてきました。

今年は野地平に全員ビバークするということで、例年よりもスキー講習の時間が少し短くなってしまいましたが、普段のスキー講習とは比べ物にならない程に野地平へのバックカントリーで得るものは大きかったと思います。

スキー班（全4班）と野地平ツアー班（全4班）は、花山の経験なども踏まえ、全く違うメンバーによる構成でした。
まずスキー班についてですが、私は3班を担当しました。3班の目標プライズはシュテムです。後傾姿勢の改善と、ターン時の荷重の仕方を理解してもらうのが難しく、わかりづらい説明になってしまった部分もあったと思います。キャンパーは全員小学生だったので、もっと噛み砕いた表現をすればよかったと思う部分は多々ありました。
野地平ツアー班については、4班を担当しました。LODシステムを導入し、準備〜当日までキャンパーのリーダーを中心に運ぶ予定でしたが、私が未熟な部分も多く、特に前日準備の時に必要以上に介入してしまったと思う部分もありました。キャンパーの能力をしっかり見極めて、キャンパーが成長できるようにサポートが出来なければならないと実感しました。

今回のキャンプで、スキー講習にせよ野地平にせよ、キャンパーが成長できる接し方はどのようなものなのか、というのが大きな課題となったと思います。次回以降の派遣の際も、このことを意識して、キャンパーが「楽しかった、また行きたい！」と思えるようなキャンプ作りへの協力ができたらいいなと思います。

うなぎ

今回私は本部スタッフ兼4班サブカウンセラーとして参加しました。スタッフとしてキャンプに参加したのは今回初めてだったので、やると決まったときからずっと緊張していました。スキー講習中は初心者班のサポートをしていたため、私がメインで子供にスキーを指導するわけではありませんでした。しかし、ほとんど滑ったことがない初心者にはどういうことをどのように教えていけば良いかを間近で見ることができとても勉強になりました。最初は、転ぶと自力で起き上がることもできなかった子が最後にはゴンドラで上まで登って滑り降りて来れるようになり、さらには野地平ビバークまでやり遂げ、子供の成長は本当にすごいと感じました。

また今回のプログラムには野地平ビバークもあり、私もツアー班を持つことになりました。基本的には班内で決めたリーダー、サブリーダーを中心に活動するとのことでしたが、カウンセラーとしてどこまで踏み込んで指導すれば良いのか、どれくらいの距離感を保てば良いのか難しかったです。また、ビバーク地設営の際も指導する以前に自分の知識や能力の無さからリーダーや班員に適切なアドバイスを全然できなかったことが大きな反省点です。

今回初めてスタッフとして参加したことで、キャンパーの時とは違った視点からキャンプや子供を見ることができとても勉強になりました。そして、子供の力を最大限に引き出すにはどうしたら良いかを考えたり、子供の安全面や健康面もしっかり管理しなければならないカウンセラー、スタッフの責任感を非常に感じ貴重な経験をすることができました。
